Changes to Come

A new timetable for the 43 will be introduced on the 31st of July. The majority of  journeys remain the same, although morning times have been amended and late night Sunday services have been reduced so night services leave Durham at 20:20, 21:50 and 23:10. Most notably from these changes is the reduction in journey times to make 25 minutes end to end. At peak times the current times are tight, so undoubtably late running will become more common. The reason for this appears to be that the 43 will be interworked with the 46 to Crook, though this has yet to be confirmed.

The changes are likely to see the withdrawal of the service through Larks Hill at Esh Winning though this may be subject to change as many complaints have been made. It is quite unusual that Arriva are even trying to make this move as a substantial amount of passengers from the area use the service, and may be left without a near-by service.
